Digitalization in agriculture – challenges and chances in an organic and conventional production in Serbia
TeleGroup was a participant in the 2nd conference under the name “Digitalization in agriculture – challenges and chances in an organic and conventional production in Serbia” that was held on Tuesday, November 6th, in Sombor.
In the name of the TeleGroup company Diana Gligorijevic was speaking, the CMO of TeleGroup, who together with the representatives of the company Telekom presented a software application AgroLIFE which was specially developed for automatic control of agricultural production. The most significant advantage in the use of software application AgroLIFE comes from giving insight and controlling production through a digital book of the field from which its use can benefit both the state and the producers, which can in the same time can make the local agriculture competitive and bring to the increase of export capacities.
The use of the latest technologies and modernization of agricultural production is necessary in all agricultural countries, including Serbia. Bigger demand of agricultural products, change in climate conditions and the development of modern illnesses condition are a new approach to agricultural production. Because of these reasons there are significant changes in raising and condition in which the agricultural culture are raised today compared to the traditional conditions, was concluded on the conference.
The main subjects of this year’s conference were viewing for places of IT technologies in the agricultural industry, starting from the response to the question of is Serbian agriculture ready for digitalization and use of digital platforms for advancing its competitiveness, then what benefits allow from the use of IT technologies and digitalization of production of agricultural cultures, and from all of that what are the most available ways and conditions of agricultural producers of conventional and organic food.
This year the conference has bought 70 representatives of resource ministries, agricultural organizations and local self-governments, certificate houses, company’s holders of advanced technologies, as well as the financial and insurance houses.
