TeleGroup at "Aj na 3": A Humanitarian Basketball Tournament with SOS Children's Villages Serbia and Comtrade.
In the Comtrade company complex, on Saturday, December 2, a humanitarian basketball tournament titled "Your Turn for 3" was held, organized by SOS Children's Villages Serbia with the support of Comtrade. In addition to TeleGroup, 15 other companies participated in the event, competing to support the humanitarian initiative and contribute to the work of SOS Children's Villages Serbia.
The tournament, symbolically named "Your Turn for 3", was held in support of children, youth, and families at risk, whom SOS Children's Villages Serbia has been assisting for nearly two decades. Ivana Ignjatov, Director of Fundraising and Communications at the organization, emphasized the importance of such events and expressed gratitude to all participating companies for their contribution to fulfilling humanitarian goals.
The tournament brought together participants of all generations, from the youngest to the oldest. We are especially proud of our colleague, Dragan Žikić, the oldest participant at 64 years of age, who competed with the same passion and energy as the younger players. Žikić highlighted the importance of corporate involvement in humanitarian activities and the organization of sports events that motivate young people to foster a sporting spirit and actively engage in sports.
In addition to company teams, representatives from the "Strong Youth" Career Center, part of SOS Children's Villages Serbia, also competed. This center supports youth from vulnerable groups by helping them find employment, gain additional education, and achieve economic empowerment. During an exhibition match, the youth showcased their basketball skills, and special guest Boriša Simanić, a professional basketball player, supported the humanitarian cause.
Beyond the competition, an exhibition match was organized for youth from the "Strong Youth" Career Center, allowing them to meet representatives of the companies supporting the event. This provided the young participants with the opportunity to learn about various fields of work and ask questions about areas of interest.
SOS Children's Villages Serbia is a humanitarian organization that provides support to children and youth without parental care and those at risk of family separation.
