The 14th TeleGroup InfoSec Conference Successfully Held
On Thursday and Friday, September 26–27, the 14th TeleGroup InfoSec Conference was successfully held in the inspiring setting of the Adriatic coast, riding the waves of Cyber Security innovation.
Security is a global challenge—as our systems become increasingly interconnected, so too do the risks we share. With this insight, Dejan Vukšić, Advisor for Security and Defense to the President of Montenegro, opened the 14th TeleGroup InfoSec Conference at the Avala Hotel in Budva.
“We live in an era where digital technologies shape not only our daily lives but all aspects of business, industry, and society as a whole. The development of technology, which has brought us numerous advantages, also brings new challenges, with cybersecurity being one of the most critical. This is the essence of this conference—bringing together leading minds and experts to collectively address these challenges and create solutions that will make our digital future safer,” stated Dejan Vukšić, Advisor for Security and Defense to the President of Montenegro.
The rich two-day program, featuring over 120 participants from across the region, the support of partners and leading global IT Security manufacturers, and relevant topics, made this conference one of the largest regional ICT business events, gathering top experts and innovators in information security.
Key topics included:
- Protecting critical infrastructure
- Personal and corporate data protection
- The shortage of skilled professionals and insufficient education in this field
- Compliance with DORA and NIS2 regulations
- Cloud Security
- The impact of artificial intelligence on managing daily security processes
- Securing funding for innovative Cyber Security projects through the Horizon program
These subjects garnered the most attention among attendees.
During a parallel session organized by the Women4Cyber Foundation Chapter, joint activities were defined to promote gender equality, raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity, and encourage the involvement of women in this growing field.
“This was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come in the evolution of an industry. Cybersecurity, once just a segment of IT, has now grown into one of the largest and most significant branches of the global economy. Thank you to our partners and speakers for their participation and support, and to our guests for their trust and interest in the conference. Collective security is an issue and responsibility we all share. See you next year, when we will likely face new challenges but also present solutions for a safer cyber environment,” said Aleksandar Vratonjić Gligorijević, Marketing Director at TeleGroup.
The TeleGroup InfoSec Conference was launched with the goal of raising the level of information security in the Western Balkans. It has since become one of the most significant IT Security events in the region. As an IT company specializing in security technologies, TeleGroup aimed to support regional IT associations in drawing the attention of state institutions and the public to information security as a vital resource for any nation. The conference also focuses on addressing the increasingly sophisticated cyber threats that could destabilize the regional economy and society. TeleGroup held its first conference in 2011 in Republika Srpska and in Serbia in 2013.
